The conference titled “Food Safety in European Union-Turkey Relations in Light of Global Developments,” organized by Abdullah Gül University (AGÜ) and Ankara University, was held on Monday, November 4th, at the AGÜ Rectorate Conference Hall with the participation of Ankara University faculty member Prof. Dr. Belgin Akçay, Ankara University retired faculty member Prof. Dr. Nevzat Artık, Middle East Technical University faculty member Prof. Dr. Hami Alpas, FAO program coordinator Özcan Türkoğlu, and SÜTAŞ Group corporate relations manager Fatma Can Sağlık.
The event, which lasted from 10:00 to 12:30, discussed the importance of food safety in the context of European Union-Turkey relations, the effects of global developments on food safety, and current policies in this area. Expert academics and public and private sector representatives gathered with students and shared their knowledge and experiences.
